Octopus square print original
A beautiful original print handmade by Cornwall based artist Ruth Proudfoot Smith. This square print celebrates the strange and elusive octopus native to the North Cornish coast. Ruth has depicted the distinctive colouring using plastic courier packaging and added white plastics to capture the tentacles. The print replicates the free machine-stitching technique which adds details and a hand-drawn style to the image.
Art mounted using FSC paper supporting responsible forestry sources. This print is from a small limited edition signed.

All designs are individually made and hand printed, therefore may vary slightly from product to product. I source materials from my immediate locality here in the South West, including using good local printers and framers.
My original and large framed prints are housed in environmentally recycled material using locally-sourced 'Polcore' moulding. I am endeavouring to use 90% recycled packaging from pre-used sources. As my business grows, so will my compostable boxing and wrapping.
