Framed: Puffin with its Sea Catch original artwork £145
A beautiful original framed artwork handmade by Cornwall based artist Ruth Proudfoot Smith. This large original celebrates one of these beautiful birds that can occasionally be seen around the Cornish coast. Ruth has depicted the distinctive colouring of the plumage using plastic courier packaging and added metallic sweet wrappers to capture the fish. The free machine-stitching techniques add features and a hand-drawn style to the image. The details have been gradually built up from layers of heat-fused plastic packaging. Art mounted and framed – due to demand, now only available in white wood frames.

PRODUCT GUIDE:
All designs are individually made and hand printed, therefore may vary slightly from product to product. I source materials from my immediate locality here in the SouthWest, including using local professional printers and framers. These include handmade wood frames produced by Southgate Studios in Launceston.
My original artworks, framed and unframed prints are housed on FSC certified sustainable material. For packing, I aim to use 90% recycled and pre-used sources – as my business grows, so will my compostable boxing and wrapping.
